The Seleni Institute is a nonprofit organization founded by George and Nitzia Logothetis in 2011 to better address women’s unique mental health care needs. At the Seleni Institute they strive to give women empathetic, comprehensive, evidence-based reproductive and maternal mental health care.
They provide reasoned, practical wisdom online about:
- Miscarriage, stillbirth, and child loss;
- Perinatal mood and anxiety disorders;
- Difficulties with conception;
- Coping with physical changes during and after pregnancy; and
- Parenting support.
Partner onsite with a Manhattan mental health and wellness practice that focuses uniquely on women's mental health care needs, providing treatment and support groups.
Support talented researchers who investigate challenges related to reproductive and maternal mental health.
I was lucky enough to have attended their open house last month. Their offices are a relaxing, inviting setting for support groups. You will feel the positive energy upon entering. Their staff is friendly and knowledgeable.
If you are in the NYC area and you provide support to women - childbirth educators, personal trainers, massage therapists, yoga instructors, acupuncturists, nurses, OB/GYNs, midwives, or anyone else who touches the lives of women and cares about their mental health you can get the chance to meet them at their next Open House on Wednesday, June 5th at 6:30 PM
