Infertility Information
Infertility is a disease that affects one in eight couples of reproductive age. That is 7.3 million people. About 10 percent of women in the United States ages 25-44 have difficulty getting pregnant or staying pregnant. Infertility is the inability to conceive or retain a pregnancy during a one-year period or if you are over 35 years old a six month period. You should consider seeing a reproductive endocrinologist to determine your fertility. Infertility is a diagnosis by a professional health care provider. There are many different diagnosis of infertility, one-third of cases are male factors, other diagnosis pertain to the women's reproductive system, and about 10 percent of cases are both partners which are known as "unexplained infertility". Some infertility treatments that are done after diagnosis are IUI (Intrauterine Insemination) IVF (Invitro Fertilization) or third party reproductive alternatives; such as donor egg, donor sperm, donor embryo and surrogacy. Some cases of infertility that is becoming more common is secondary infertility, where the couple had no issues conceiving their first child and now go on to find out that they are having problems conceiving. In addition, some couples also turn to adoption as another alternative. For more information on Infertility, its causes and treatments visit Resolve's website.

Advocacy Day 2013 in Washington DC was a success. So many Advocates attended with more male and professional presence.
Our presence was known and our voices were heard. A special thanks to the dozen of men that attended, great to see their support! Resolve should be commended once again for their outstanding efforts on this day and everyday!
